Engines
Rotax FM125
Tyres: Bridgestone YGK
This is karting's premier class, however the licensing system currently allows newcomers to compete in this class. By far the most popular of the "touch and go" or TAG engines having electric start, water cooling and a centrifugal clutch which requires a slightly different driving style to a direct drive kart. This is definitely the class if you don't want to push start a kart, so generally appeals more to the older demographic. Initial outlay for the kart is higher and the engine can be a little harder to tune in comparison to a Clubman, however the engine can be very reliable if maintained correctly. Resale on karts are generally good because of demand from recreational karters.
